The expectations were already there, but once R.C. Orlan signed with North Carolina, big things were expected.
Orlan delivered without a doubt, earning first-team all-state honors and now he is an all-DigitalSports selection.
He is like so many other members of the all-DS team, being able to control the game with his terrific pitching and break it open at the plate.
He led Deep Run to the Central Region title game and another state tourney appearance.
The lefty was just selected in the 44th round of the MLB draft by the L.A. Dodgers, but Chapel Hill seems to be his next stop.
